The large rings create leverage and work similarly to a full cheek snaffle, offering more lateral control.It obviously also has the gag action creating poll flexion and offering a high level of control.
Ideally suited for polo ponies, but also used for showjumpers and eventers.
This bit should be used with double reins but can be used with a single rein attached to gag runner or gag reins.
