The Beris Comfort Bar Loose Ring Snaffle is made of a strong yet flexible material. This bit is suitable for young horses being that it has an anatomically shaped mouthpiece; it will not pinch due to the built-in bit guards and the gentle loose ring allows the horse to find where it is more comfortable in the bridle. 

This bit comes in a soft or hard mouthpiece.
The soft mouthpiece is very pliable and gentle for the more sensitive horses.  The hard mouthpiece is better for the horse that tends to lean or that can get strong in the bridle.
The material is not resistant again chewing.
